Become involved as a leader

The participants are at the heart of the instructor's work. The overarching goal is to motivate adults to engage in lifelong sport in order to promote their health, performance and social experience. As an esa leader, you take on a role model function and commit yourself to exemplifying the nine principles of the Swiss Sport Ethics Charter (e.g. equal treatment, respect, renunciation of doping).

Since the target group comprises adults aged 18 to 100, leaders must take into account the biological, psychological and social changes that occur over the course of a lifetime. It is important to understand the motives for exercise (e.g. social contact, health, enjoyment) and to support behavioural changes through gradual processes. In terms of organisation, marketing (the "seven golden rules of marketing") and systematic quality assurance through planning and documentation are also part of the commitment.
