Tournament form
For many athletes, competing against others and testing their personal limits is a major challenge. The physical, coordination, mental and tactical skills acquired in lessons/training can be applied in competitions (tournaments). Dealing with emotions, which are strongly linked to victory and defeat, can be practised in a meaningful way in competitions. For athletes, competitions are motivating and offer opportunities to express their personality. Tournaments should therefore be integrated into lessons/training and also serve as a learning control. A selection of numerous tournament forms is available for this purpose. Tournaments that last a whole season or longer in a club also have social goals and promote club life.
