Whether a medicine is beneficial or harmful also depends on the dosage. This is also the case with sport, because the right amount of exercise keeps you healthy and protects you from illness. In addition to the positive physical aspects, physical exercise also revitalises the mind. However, sport also has its negative sides. For example, doping in competitive sport has become virtually unthinkable without it and addictive substances such as alcohol and tobacco are widespread in popular sport. Furthermore, sexual assault is unfortunately an issue that does not stop at sport. Fortunately, however, the downside of sport is a group of minorities who allow themselves to be seduced by negative influences. The majority of the population continues to benefit from the numerous positive facets that sport has to offer. Sports leaders keep their eyes open and help to ensure that this remains the case by raising awareness and carrying out prevention work.
