The obstacle course in the terrain is used to test fitness and coordination skills. The aim is to test dexterity and technique on the obstacle course in the terrain by means of time measurement. The obstacle course in the terrain is carried out as a form of test in the officer school (OS) and is part of the MSL (military sports leader) training. The obstacle course in the terrain is also completed in the recruit school (RS), but is used there for training/exercise purposes. In principle, the same requirements of the OS apply, but an individual evaluation table can also be created.
