Climbing (5m on the vertical pole/4.5m on the rope)

Climbing on the vertical pole (5m) is used to test physical condition and coordination skills. The aim is to test dexterity and technique on the climbing pole by means of time measurement. Pole climbing is carried out as a form of testing in the officer school (OS) and is part of the MSL (military sports leader) training. Pole climbing is also carried out at recruit school (RS), non-commissioned officer school (NCO school) and on the chef course, but is used there for training/exercise purposes. If an evaluation is nevertheless carried out, the same requirements apply as in the OS.

If there is no climbing pole in the sports hall, the test is carried out on the rope (4.5m) as an alternative.
