The participants form pairs and stand facing each other. A cone is placed between them. Both start from a starting position, e.g. 1–2 metres away from the cone. The sports instructor calls out different body parts one after the other, e.g. head – shoulder – knee – foot (or calls out movements such as squats, long jumps, etc.). The participants must touch the named body part as quickly as possible. At an agreed signal – e.g. the call ‘Go!’ or the sports leader’s whistle – both try to reach the cone as quickly as possible. The first person to touch the cone scores a point. They then return to the starting position and begin the next round. Switching partners may be incorporated where appropriate.
Variant:
The participants stand side by side and run in the same direction towards a cone placed a little further away, in the middle between the two players (e.g. 5–10 metres away).
The participants stand facing each other at a slight distance (1–2 metres apart). At a signal from the sports instructor, one player attempts to reach the respective hall wall, whilst the other player tries to catch up with them before they reach the wall (e.g. ‘Day’ signal = Player A runs to Wall A – Player B is the catcher; ‘Night’ signal = Player B runs to Wall B – Player A is the catcher). Starting positions can be varied (e.g. kneeling, lying down).
