This session is designed to promote active recovery. For example, after a walk or a physically demanding week, the body is often not only tired but also experiences increased muscle tension. We therefore promote the active recovery of our circulatory system and then mobilise the whole body. Slow movements, calm breathing and a comfortable level of intensity are key.
The teacher asks the participants to briefly reflect on how they are feeling:
Where does your body feel particularly tired or tense?
Are there any tender spots, pain or restricted movement?
How high is your overall level of tension on a scale of 1 to 10?
This short self-assessment can be repeated again at the end of the lesson.
