Understanding the subject area
The question of "what" to teach is clarified. The central orientation system is the FTEM Switzerland framework concept, with esa focusing on the key area of "Foundation" (phases F2 and F3) in order to strengthen health and life skills in popular sports.
The content is defined across three levels:
Manifestations: These are ideal patterns of movement and behaviour for the respective sport. The painting (metaphor) is what is visible or observable and represents the desired target state of a movement task.
Training forms: These serve as brushes (metaphor) for achieving the goals and are divided into interdisciplinary (broad basis) and discipline-specific forms (targeted technique/tactics). Like the use of a brush in painting, the choice and application of training forms is a creative process that is significantly influenced by the leader.
Development dimensions: Movement is divided into five dimensions: athletics, technique, tactics, cooperation and psychology, to which 16 development factors are assigned. The colours (metaphor) are used with different weightings; one form, for example, tends to be more technique-oriented, while another may have a high athletic component.
Another key aspect of this area is inclusion, i.e. people with and without disabilities participating in sports together.
